To Moab UT
From 70 we drove onto 128 down the Colorado river valley It was like driving through the Grand Canyon. Slow going with hairpin turns & no guard rails. Sounds from the happy raft riders rose to us as Peter took over driving. We took a side trip to Castle Valley a suggestion from Off the Beaten Track which Patty Jo gave to us & had belonged to my Mom. Maybe the castle would have been more interesting had we not been so tired. And there was no good place to turn around. Peter did a great job turning around on a side dirt road. We were happy to get to our campsite . The campsite was fine but the state and federal sites are still much prettier but with fewer amenities such as showers and sometime even dump sites.
